Introduction

"When an Orc Loves a Woman" is a story derived from my intention to write a Harlequin novel.  I saw a call for submissions in 2015 for various genres of romance and I thought, "hrm, I've never tried to write pure romance before." So I thought I would give it a shot."

Of course, because life is not purely one thing or another, I had to thread other aspects of life into the story, so there will be some intrigue, nerdity, betrayal, and warmth and more.

The submissions called for novels between  78,000 and 84,000 words (I think) so I applied that to my formula of writing 60 chapter novels. So each chapter is between 1300 and 1400 words, no more, no less.  The chapters are meant to be episodic, small stories contained in the larger narrative.

I plan to write each of the story lines fully, so that's why you'll see me jumping around in chapters. I'll go more into detail with that at a later time.

If you stumble across the story, I hope you enjoy it and when it releases to the world I hope you buy a copy.  Until the book is ready to be beta read, I'll have the chapters up on this site, so feel free to pass the site on to others who might find it enjoyable.

Thanks so much!
